31/5/2025: Came back for our wedding anniversary dinner. I had the 8oz steak & my wife wanted salmon. There was no salmon on the menu BUT the chef got a piece in especially 😋 he then asked my wife how she wanted it. Cooked to perfection, as was the steak. If I had room, I would of had the tomahawk steak ========================== First time here & the staff are so relaxed & chatty. The food was top notch & top quality. We will be coming back again. Price wise, very reasonable for the size of the portions.

Had a lovely time here with my family, landlady was engaging and the chef came out and chatted with us with enthusiasm about the new dishes he had added to the menu. We weren't disappointed, great presentation, flavour and quantity. Will definitely return.

first time at the pub but didnt really venture far inside as our table was by the front window. i had the walnut burger which i would highly recommend. it was cooked perfectly was thick and juicy and tasty, also well priced. the chips were good. the rest of our table opted for food from the italian menu and all looked very nice. i would go again and would like to try other things off the menu but would probably end up with the burger again 😀

This is our second time eating here after recently moving to the area. First time we both had steak and it was faultless, I eat my steak blue and the waitress assured me the chef could do it (I'm always a little hesitant) she was bang on the money it was amazing i could of used a butter knife!!! this time my husband had lasagne and I had the belly pork, yet again it was beautiful. Hats of to the chef!!! All the staff are friendly and happy to help. We will definitely be back to this little gem... definitely recommend it.

5 adults, Thursday evening, 5 mains/3 sides/4 deserts plus drinks under £130.😁 food great, service excellent. Big menu including a large Italian offering. Can't fault the place, amazed how they haven't put the prices up, I've paid this much for 2 people in Cardiff and the food was nowhere near this quality.

We all enjoyed our first visit and had roast beef sunday dinners. It came with lots of Gravy and veg. It is having a renovation at the moment but I'm sure it will meet all expectations.
